236 Pakistani died in Hajj Stampede says The Guardian Newspaper.

A Britain Newspaper says that 236 Pakistanis died during Mina stampede. The Guardian Newspaper.

Citing foreign officials and international media, The Guardian reported that 236 Pakistani pilgrims, 131 Iranian, 87 Moroccans, 14 Indians, 14 Egyptians, 8 Somalians, 5 Senegalese, 4 Tanzanians, 4 Turkish, 3 Algerians, 3 Kenyans, 3 Indonesians, 1 Burundian and 1 Dutch were among dead.

Pakistani ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Director General of Hajj were not available to comment on the report.

Pakistani authorities had confirmed deaths of 10 Hajj pilgrims. They said 17 pilgrims injured in the stampede were also identified.

At least 769 pilgrims were martyred in Mina stampede, the worst tragedy during the Hajj in last 25 years and the second deadly incident this month after a crane crash in Makkah’s Grand Mosque killed over 100 pilgrims.
